Our vision is to embed Indigenous leadership at every level of diagnostic innovation while advancing national resilience across health, and biosecurity. Our mission is to strengthen Australia’s preparedness and deliver measurable social, cultural, and economic impact for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. By placing Indigenous ownership, governance, and workforce development at the centre of our approach, Custodian Health is creating long-term career pathways, accredited training, and regional employment opportunities aligned with Future Made in Australia and national Closing the Gap commitments.

Sovereign Capability & Preparedness

Sovereign capability is now central to Australia’s national interest. Strengthening sovereign preparedness means shifting from dependency to self-determination, building domestic manufacturing that can respond rapidly to health threats, emergency events, and market shocks. Custodian Health addresses this vulnerability by localising manufacturing to ensure Australia maintains uninterrupted access to both essential and critical tests whilst supporting our Pacific neighbours. Sovereignty is more than production - it is workforce capability, digital connectivity, and culturally aligned service delivery. By developing skilled regional and Indigenous workforces, integrating real-time digital reporting, and ensuring secure national supply chains, Australia can anticipate, respond to, and recover from emerging threats with speed, confidence, and independence.
